Congratulations to new Copic design team

The copic challenge blog has chosen nearly all the members from the Dotties World Design team, great choice obviously lol! Congratulations Louise,Karen and Adele! I still havent any copics :( but I shall be avidly watching the blog!

Especially for you....

I went to Farnborough 'Make it 5' on sunday and I bought.....
Now that would be telling, one of the things i bought from the Flower soft stand was the wonderful 'Country window' un-mounted stamps sheet set. I used my largest acrylic block and it slightly over hangs that, so it is a really large stamp for the window. I stamped onto watercolour paper and used rusty brown stazon for the window and for the individual flowers cactus green stazon, which I received today within 1 day of placing my order from Charmed Cards and crafts,

I mounted the picture onto backing paper from my Hot off the press stash and added the pergamano rub off sentiment, which i didnt want to stand out, I wanted it to compliment,so the card looks more like a picture,although saying that, as the light is now electric not daylight the picture doesnt pick it up very well.

Birthday Girl!!

Its my youngest daughters 4th Birthday tomorrow and I've just made this large card for her, from one of the other two, this is made using the most new image from the new blog CuteDaisyMay,this is going to be a challenge blog, so make sure you join in. I coloured her with whisper watercolour pens, I printed the image onto watercolour paper,so gives a fantastic effect with the pens, the backing paper and greeting are by hot off the Press, the flowers are Prima.

Blast from the past.. Dottie challenge

Its Louise's turn to set the challenge over on Dotties World and she's been eating 3 weetabix for Breakfast so has come up with a cracker challenge.
Blast from the past...
Dig out old pictures of previous cards and make a new one using exactly the same layout but different papers,embelishments and ofcourse a Charmed Cards Download.
This is my card i made back in 2008 using the cat collection... This is my new card,using the same layout but the image is from the new holly & Madison Download and the papers are from Hot off the press,the flowers are prima and the brads are basic grey. I used Whispers brush markers(watercolour pens) to add her colour.

The live,laugh,love is a clear acetate sentiment from Hot off the press also.

Its my Birthday today...

Its my birthday today 21 ....again lol!

I've received some wonderul cards,even my dad made me honey and banana bread, after 48 years of marriage, its the first time he has cooked, as my mum is unable to at the moment. This is a massive a2 card, my daughter made and all 3 of my kiddies wrote in, its wonderful!

My 14 year old son made me this fantastic decoupafe card, as elephants are my favourite wild animal.

This is my cake and banana bread yummy!

And my 3 bunches of Roses from my 3 children.

This is the gorgeous card and gift I received from Louise, of dottie fame,my best friend!! This has the most gorgeous flocked paper on and ofcourse Lou has added her touch of genious by lifting the leaves up from the paper!

its got a secret pocket in which had a gift from Naughty Lou, this will be going towards my Farnborough fund, as going to the 'Make it' show on sunday!

Karen sent me this gorgously creative a5 card,with so many things to touch and stoke , its wonderful

And the wonderfully healthy Juliet! Sent me this fantastic card,you cant see in the picture but it has acetate and yarn aswell as real stitching on it and the colours are just gorgeous!

Wedding card...

This is a large a4 card,using an image from the new Lets play dolls house cd from Helping hands templates,this image is designed to fit into the church when made up from the template, but this shows you dont have to only use them with the templates.

I used a piece of 12x12 scrapbooking paper for the backing and matted and layed using embossed parchment.

Dotties world Sunday challenge...Stitch in time...

It has been a horrendous week,so my appologises i was late with my card to Adele over on dotties world,as it is her challenge this week.
Adele wanted us to use stitching,machine or hand.
So I hand stitched the crosses down the side of the ribbon,I used the image from the new 'Holly and Madison' collection available at Charmed cards,checkout the blinkie. The sentiment,flowers and brads are all from Hot off the Press,also available at Charmed. I added colour using my ever faithful Whispers Brush markers ( ok, ok i havent got any copics!! Yet!!) Great Challenge Adele.xx

Guest Designer for Crafty Templates...

I was asked by Leonora of Crafty Templates to be their guest designer for February,Leo sent me a wonderful kit,which comes out monthly and i always love to buy,along with the monthly templates,which are sent as a download when you subscribe to Crafty Templates This card was made combining two of the templates for the large hen and smaller chick...

Everything in the card is from the kit,apart from the brads

I used the wing on the mother hen to make a pocket to hold the little chick with greeting and attached them together with the ribbon from the kit.

This is the purse template, all apart from the brad & the £10 note is from the kit

And finally this is the wonderful sunshine template,I just used my ink pads to shade the card and sunshine and a micron pen for the greeting...

Sunday Dotties Challenge..Luuurve..New collection from Lou.. Now available..

Wow wow wow! Louise has done it again, just when you think she couldnt think of something better, she has come up with the 'Holly and Madison' collections the images are wonderful,completely different to Dottie.
Karen has set the challenge for 'Luurve' this week over on Dotties World, so it was a great excuse to use this image For this card i used this wonderfully sophisticated image, cut out and aperture and used invisible thread to hold the hearts i punched out.

I added detail to the back,although this collection doesnt have the back detail unlike 'back to front dottie'

This is the very minimal inside of the card!

Cheskout the Dottie blinkie to get the images as soon as they are released!.xx

I made this screen using an image from Helping hands new cd 'Scenes to decorate' and a ws screen template.

Friends like you.....

This is another card i made to go with my challenge over on Dotties world for Mid-Week Mojo Having mastered the technique of this 3d card,i thought it shows the new Back to front images from charmed cards off perfectley!

As this folds completely flat it goes into a normal sized envelope and saves postage too....

The sentiments are from the Hot of the press goodies i won,the clear overlays,never used them before i got them in the pack,but i love them and can see them becoming a firm favourite of mine!

I used whispers water pens to add colour to dottie,i love the bright crisp green of the card so matched Dottie accordingly!..xx
