Crafts Beautiful Challenge

The challenge is to make a card using the pieces from the latest 'Lets Make Cards'
The backing papers are gorgeous!!!

Made from using punches

I made this card by using paper punches & added glitter to the punched out paper.
The flowers I used a celestial moon punch, the foliage I used a tree puch & a leave one.
I had made this for a competition, but didnt send it, as chickened out!!

Have been playing with Parchment.

I have been having a go at Parchment work, I got myself a grid, which I have always wanted, allows you to prick in perfect symetry

Woo Hoo!!! Back online!!

My goodness that was alongtime without proper connection, it was off & on every few seconds for the last 2weeks, after the inital off for 2weeks!! Now I have changed my service provider & fingers crossed everything is wonderful!! Got a snazzy phone too, let me get over the shock of no internet & I'll be back to the challenges!!

BROADBAND NIGHTMARE!

My Broadband still hasnt been sorted!! I am changing supplier on Monday, seems an age to set it up and get confirmation date! It has gone offline 3times while just typing this sentence, please bare with me!! I have loads of new cards to post, fingers crossed for Monday, I cant believe there wont be a 'hitch' Have been having problems for nearly a month now, want to get back to the challenges!!!

Valentine card Challenge

Crafts Beautiful are holding a Challenge for a Valentines card, you mustn't use red or pink.
I wove the heart with lilac & mint green paper.
And suspended it using a ribbon & then attached the flowers.

ANOTHER 'RONI' HIGHCHAIR

I USED WOOD EFFECT THIS TIME TO GIVE A DIFFERENT EFFECT, IT SITS PERFECTLY NEXT TO THE GRANDFATHER CLOCK, COULD MAKE A DOLLS HOUSE WITH THESE!!

JUST FOR YOU CARD

THIS CARD WAS MADE USING THE PAPERMANIA STAMP SOLD FOR MARIE CURIE FUND, PROCEEDS GO TO THIS CHARITY & THEY WANT YOU TOO 'CREATE A CARD FOR CANCER CARE' FOR THEM TO SELL.
THE LONG DAFFODIL STAMP IS ONE STAMP I EXTENDED TO FIT DOWN THE INSIDE EDGE OF THE CARD. I USED SAKURA GELLY ROLL CLEAR PEN ON THE DAFFODILS WHICH MAKES IT SPARKLE IN THE LIGHT. This card was a request for my nan as its my grandads birthday & she was compaining it wasnt hers, so my mum said could i make a 'coz its not your birthday' card, dont think you'd find one with that phrase on a card in the shops!!

'TICK TOX ' CLOCK

I'VE JUST FINISHED MY FIRST 'TICK TOX' CLOCK AGAIN FROM THE FABULOUS ARTYFARTY TEMPLATES!!
I'VE MADE THIS FOR MY GRANDADS 91ST BIRTHDAY SO I PUT THE HANDS TO 9 & 1. I DIDNT HAVE A SUITABLE CARD FOR THE FACE, SO I USED 'WATERCOLOUR' PENS ON CREAM CARD, GIVING QUITE A GOOD EFFECT!
I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO GET THE WONDERFUL WOODGRAIN EFFECT CARD YET, SO HAD TO IMPROVISE!! I JUST HAVE TO MAKE THE BOX NOW

This is another new one, 'tilly' cake, i still have to make the box, but yet again having problems with my broadband, going on & off like a yo yo!!
I used flower soft on the corners of the tiers, which i got from Farnborough 'Make it' show yesterday!! Fabulous day out!!Met all the flowersoft ladies who are on create & craft, I met the glitter girls, Stephanie & Nigel from Create & Craft, Wendy Stanton, Sara & Helen from Crafters Companion,Crafts Beautful Mag people. There were over a hundreds stalls & as it was at Farnborough International Airport so that meant my son could watch the planes coming in and out.

'Roni' Highchair

I have just received my pattern for the 'RONI' Highchair by Arty Farty, I fell in love with these as soon as I saw them on Create & Craft, I ordered it from Carole herself on Wednesday evening & received it this morning!!! Top class service Carole!!!

VALENTINE!!

THIS TURNED OUT TO BE A VERY MODERN ALMOST 'GOTHIC' VALENTINE CARD,I WAS JUST PLAYING WITH MY IDEA IN THE FEBRUARY 2008 CRAFTS BEAUTIFUL MAGAZINE UNDER SUBS HUB.
I USED SOME GORGEOUS BLOOD RED BEADS & BENT INTO A HEART SHAPE. FOR THE GREETING I USED HOT FOIL, USING THE HEAT STYLUS I WROTE FREE HAND.

2year old Birthday Card

I used a Cuddlybuddly download 'Men at Work' for this card,printed full a4 size & cutting out the image, so it makes a big card, I rotated the image on my graphics program to make the reverse of the card.

Flower Handbag Card

I made this handbag card from one piece of A4 card, the reverse of the flower card is black, so I used the angles I cut off the corners to make the black detail under the clasp, I used a sticky tape roll to draw round for the semi circle handle with spotted card, then cut a piece to make the clasp. I added gems to the ribbon for a bit of 'bling'

16th Birthday/Stamper Challenge

I found some fantastic stamps, they are by Anita's stamps, I used all three on here.
Groovy girl with the image facing forward, then the girl carrying presents & then a small stamp of a retro flower,they look & stamp brilliantly with Stazon, but would look equally as good with vibrant/retro colours!

And so the water came!! AGAIN!!

Again, we are looking at the River Loddon creeping closer & closer to our house!
I appologise to people looking on my blog, as I have been unable to update it, as my broadband company made a 'clerical error' and switched it off!!
Im sorry for people who also left messages to view their card for the challenge, as I moderate any messages I obviously couldnt do so.
Great start to a challenge!!

Hi Louly these are the pens

I just use a waterbrush with them. It doesnt actually say Watercolour pens,just waterbased. You can either mix them on a piece of acetate or plastic by adding water with a brush, or colour directly onto the picture & then blend with the waterbrush.Or you can ink up a rubber stamp with them, so you have all different colours.

THE 1ST CHALLENGE IS - WATERCOLOUR 6TH JAN-20TH JAN 2008

This can be using Watercolour paints,pens,pencils. Or can be something inspired by an artist, or even include a painting by or of the artist.


These are some of mine.

They are using Whispers Stroke Dual watercolour Pens.



This is 'Watercolour Butterflies' I won the Craft Beautiful card competition Jan 2007 with this card.

This is using Watercolour pens on glossy Photo paper, it gives a great paint effect!

I love Iris',For this ATC I drew & painted the Iris' then went over some of the flowers with a Sakura Gelly roll pen




This Atc of Fans I stamped the image with Stazon on Vellum & used Watercolour pens .

This ATC is also stamped on Vellum with Stazon & coloured with pens and as Vellum loves to curl, it gives the wings of the Dragonflies a great dimension when they are cut out! I also went over the Watercolour pens with Sakura Gelly roll clear pen.

Exploding Box number 2

This box was inspired by some papers I won for being member of the month on the Crafts Beautiful website & As I loved the papers I didnt want to cover them too much, so I copied the text of an Anne Bronte poem 'The Arbour', I then used flowers & butterflies from Wings & flowers cd, available on Charmed Cards site.Cut them out & decoupaged some of the flowers., using a quickie glue pen I attached seed beads randomly.
I have nearly finished number box number 3, will be post over the next day or two.
