Sheena Douglass' Paint Fusion Christmas Pick of the week

Here as promised...better late than never, i hope, is one of my samples for
Sheena Douglass' Paint fusion Christmas, which was this weeks Pick of the week on Create & Craft/Ideal World tv.
For this i distressed a recipe box and stamped the individual leaves of the poinsettia set of stamps into rounds of leaves, onto Neenah white card and painted using the paint fusion technique, which is shown in Sheena's Brand new DVD, after i had stamped and painted the leaves, i re-stamped the leaves with Tim holtz distress ink and heat embossed to give a green/gold vein effect to the leaves, then cut 6 rounds of different sized petals out and attached to the box using Collall glue gel.
The poinsettia measures atleast if not more than 6 ins diametre (sorry forgot to measure it before i sent it off, but will be making more!)

Keep checking back for more inspiration of the Pick of the week

Post it note booklet Tutorial

What you need:-
Boxer board, which fits onto your Ulitmate pro
2 Sheena Douglass' mount boards ive used square for this example.
Crafter's Companion Tape Pen.
A section of post it notes.
A cut down pencil, sharpened and paint with chosen colour.

Using the pro board, with Boxer board attached, butting up to the handle, lay your piece of a4 card, narrowest edge to the handle(portrait) then lay your chosen mount board ontop and score the relevant line at its edge, making sure you score on the shiny side of the centura pearl card, so it doesnt crack when folding.

Fold and score the crease line and with side folded, re-butt up to the handle, place the post it notes, depth way, up to the handle edge and again score the closest line.
Fold and score again.

Butt the scored card up to the handle again, this will be a large area and a small spine, then again lay your chosen mount board up to the handle and folded card and again score, nearest line.

Turning card lengthways, widest part butted up to handle (landscape) lay your mount board up to the handle and score closest line all the way along the card.

With your Clevercut mini,or knife & ruler, cut the scored shape out and put spare pieces to one side.

With the tape pen, attach the post it notes, centrally inside the cover and stick down.

With the smaller spare piece of card and the shortened pencil.

Roll the strip tightly around the pencil and secure by applying a strip of tape pen before finally rolling round and trim the end off.

Using wet glue or the tape pen, attach to the inside of your booklet.

Stick the finished mount board on the front of your booklet and the plain 2nd piece of mount board on the back of your booklet, this would make and ideal give or fete item!
I have used Sheena Douglass' Sweet Pea set of stamps and paint and used gold embossing powder around the edge, before sticking to the booklet, i psrayed the finished picture with Spray & Shine.

Paint Fusion-House Name Plaque

Here is a Bamboo chopping board i made into a house plaque, as Bamboo is quite water resilient, it make an ideal material to make a house plaque on!
I distressed the board and added Tim Holtz distress ink Vintage photo and Antique linen to give even more dimension to the paint.
Then i painted the Berries and blossom using Sheena Douglass's Paint fusion stamp set and acrylic paints.
I used my eCraft to cut out the name in paper and added colour using Vintage Photo Tim Holtz ink pad again and then added to the board using Strong PVA glue, which i painted over the top of each letter to seal it onto the board.
I sprayed the whole finished board with Crafters Companion Spray & Shine, this give great preservation qualities to the finished item!

Paint fusion Tissue Box

Here is another one of my Paint Fusion attempts, this time i  have painted a plywood rectangle tissue box

I firstly distressed the box with white paint in a crackle effect.

Then i used Sheena Douglass's Berries set of Paint fusion Stamps and painted with Pebeo Acrylic paints, sold in sets to match the stamps also available from Sheena Douglass

When dry i finished it off by spraying with Crafters Companion Spray & Shine, this gives a hardwearing high-gloss varnish which gives your work a protective coating similar to a layer of glass! It is also Acid free!!

Boxes and lots of them!

I have been making boxes....
Using the Ultimate Pro board by Crafters Companion.
And Core'dination 12x12 papers!
'core' being the fact if you sand the papers, after scrunching or embossing there is a different colour in the 'core' of the paper!
I have used Grape & Dusky Pinks sets of paper!
This set of square boxes is made using 10.5 ins square core'dinations, cut on my ecraft electroic cutting machine ( also only available via Crafters Companion in the Uk!)
It takes 12x12 papers up to 50 sheets and no sticky carrier mat!!
The flower on top was made by using the large flower on the Srpingtime Embossing board, from Crafter's Companion, this board fits into your Ultimate pro Board!

This set of boxes was made by using 11 ins Hexagons, again cut with my eCraft, then using the box board on the Ultimate Pro, i made different depth hexagon boxes using the different score line on the box board for the lid and the base.
The garland of flowers was made, also from the Springtime Embossing board, which connect to the Ultimate pro embossing board, i embossed the various sized flowers and then sanded the Core'donation Grape 12x12 papers and cut out the flower then cut the centre petal out with a knife and curled with my scoring tool! Going right down to the circle in the centre, which i embossed with the board, sanded with the sand it buddy and the sprayed with irredescent Spray & sparkle, cut out and then added to the centre of the flowers with Collal Glue gel and added to the boxes.

Sneek Peek #2 Popcorn Pals!!

Here is another sneek peek of
Popcorn Pals being launched exclusively to
Crafters Companion Members on Friday, before general release on Create & Craft/Ideal World!
This card is made using one of the brand new section on the cd, the '
peek a boo cards'
It has matching images but one is in reverse so you can back the image also!
I made my card into a spinner card, cutting the aperture in my card on my
Brand new eCRAFT! which is also only available in the UK via Crafters Companion!
I printed a backing sheet onto card and then using my eCraft i cut the little blossoms out they are 1/2 and inch and 1 inch in diametre! On the eCraft you can cut from 1/2 inch to 11 1/2 inchs! As it take 12x 12 sheets and can take from 1-50 sheets if loaded from the back tray, or you can add a roll and have the length aslong as you like, also it loads from the from! And best of all you dont beed a sticky mat!! it leaves little pips that hold the die cut image in place while it cut!

Tim Holtz Pick of the Week

Oh i was in heaven!!
I was sent, by Crafters Companion, products to make samples for the Brand New Today
Tim Holtz Pick of the Week on Create & Craft Tv,
which included their new embossing folders and Core dination 12 x 12 papers, made epsecially to match all the colours of Tim Holtz Distressed ink pads!
The coredinations has a different colour running through the 'Core' of the papers, then you sand the top with the sand it gadget and show the 'Core' colour.
For this card i embossed using the Polka dot embossing folder, which i used twice, by roughly lining up the dots and re embossing, so i go a larger piece of embossed paper, then i sanded it to show the light colour.
I used 3 birds Clearly stamped by Crafters Companion for Sentiment and for the corner embelishment, which i stamps Stazon black ink onto the coloured Coredinations paper and cut the corners out. The image is
Sheena Douglass' Simply Sweet stamp set, which used her Paint Fusion Technique to paint the lavender.

Keep checking out the shows, all week, today is Claire(Do craft) Curd, as she has now joined Create & Craft tv!
