Dolls House Parchment

I have been refreshing my love of parchment, I havent done any in AGES!!
I just find it soo relaxing.
I treated myself yesterday to the May 2009 Parchment Craft Magazine and this pattern caught my eye.
The unusal part for parchment is the black pen,but it out lines the images perfectly.
This card has a very so lilac glow and would be wonderful for a new Baby card etc.x

I used Copics for the colours, so im adding a link to Copics Colour challenge.
The colours i used are:-
Copic ciao:-
B39 Prussian Blue
B13 Tender Pink mixed with Y21 Buttercup Yellow ( for the nearest skin colour)
B60 Pale Blue Gray
R35 coral

and a blender pen, Hmm have i used too many colours for the challenge?
For Mikey's jeans I used just Prussian blue B39 and a blender pen which gave a great faded look to the denim

Sunday Challenge on Dotties World

Its my turn to set the challenge over on Dotties World and I apparently put everyone out of their 'comfort zone' well not everyone lol.
Got checkout the amazing cards, coz if thats out of their 'comfort zone' you'd never know to look at the cards they are amazing!!
My challenge is Hand Made-
I want it all hand made, if you use coloured backing paper i want you to make it, by stamps or ink pads and if you use embellishments I want you to make them.....
For my card, I again used my brayer and Adriondack ink pads, which are available at Charmed cards and crafts, I used some un-mounted stamps for the bamboo and script, all the backing papers and landscape are made using inks and torn strips of card i used as templates, with a cirlcle cut out of a piece of paper for the sun template.
The image is the gorgeous oriental one from 'Holly & Madison on tour' which I colour with copics.xx

Oriental Sun

I have finally managed to find my brayer, it has been buried in a bag under my stash!
Anyway, I've finally managed to have a play with my Adirondack pads I bought from Farnborough Make 5 This is what i used to make my card.
I used the brayer and ripped some random strips of card and used them as a template to use different layers of colours, also I cut a circle out of a whole piece of paper and placed over the card using the yellow/Red end of my Big Juicy pad I rolled the brayer over the template to make the Oriental Sun

I used my Copic liner to add the birds in the distance and a the black stazon and an un-mounted stamp for the script.
I haven't put a greeting on, as this could just me a 'Hi how are you' card or Thankyou.xx

Get Well soon

This is a get well card for someone just out of hospital, I used the decoupage image & backing paper from Joanna Sheens Messy Rabbit cd. Printing on glossy photo paper it gives gorgeous bright colours, to cheer the recipient up hopefully.

90th birthday and Golden Wedding bookatrix

These are some bookatrix cards I made recently and havent had time to post.
This 90th Birthday card was another for my nan using decoupage from Making Cards Magazine. I used my big shot to get the 90.
This was a 50th Wedding Anniversary card I was asked to make, instead of peel offs which peel off, arrrggghhh!! I cut strips of the matching card and attached to the card with tacky glue,so I know they arnt going any where!!

Rich....

This card is made following along with Louises Challenge over on Dottie world,of making a shaped card.
I used the idea from the Making Cards amgazine and the backing paper. Then used the image from the downloads of Holly & Madison & Girls about town sentiment, all available from charmed Cards and Crafts.

This is made simply from a strip of card, scored, cut and folded into shape.which then allows the card to fit into a c6 envelope.
I used Whispers Duo markers ( watercolour pens) to colour her and layered with glitter card.

Bookatrix Card

I made this card back at the begining of March for a friend who loves wolves!
I used the images from Beauty and Beast cd rom from the glitter girls, I bought at Farnborough Make it 5 show.
The images are gorgeous and so easy to decoupage, they are soo 3 dimensional!

Sunday Challenge Dotties World

Its Louise's turn over on Dottie World and she wants us to make a shaped card, any shape apart from square or rectangle. And ofcourse use a Charmed Download.
I am now the proud owner of some Copics! Not many only pastel and hues ciaos and a blender pen, so skin not quite right colour.
Louise suggested I use really smooth paper so I used glossy photo paper and it worked, the colours didnt bleed! This image is from the download 'World tour' I printed it onto the glossy paper and she stands roughly a5 size, i used the most gorgeous glitter card I got from the glitter girls stand when I went to Farnborough 'Make it' 5.
For the sentiment I used a die cut circl and added the words using Letraset rub offs and prima flowers.

90th Birthday card for my lovely nan!

This is a large card i made for my nan for her 90th Birthday.
As they are from Chester-le-street County Durham, her family were all workers in the pits and the one her family worked in is now Beamish museum. So this La pashe decoupage,I obtained fron Joanna Sheens Online shop, suited her perfectly, as she loves anything to do with steam trains and coal pits.
I used a4 card and creased a spine down the centre to act like a book, which i ran the ribbon down, I covered the front with a piece of A5 glitter card and mat and layered the greeting backing paper.
Inside I added the embossed diamond cards and then the la pashe picture, for the 90 I typed it on word using word art, cut out in suitable card and embossed with my big shot and a cuttlebug folder

I added the flowers using silcone to give them strength. This is a self standing card, with the centre the main feature.

Sunday Challenge...Get the Feeling

Hi, its my turn to set the Sunday Challenge over on Dotties world so Im going to choose....
Get the feeling!!!!!
I would like to see some kind of fabric incorperated in the card or item, it could be felt, ribbon, lace, cotton etc and ofcourse a Charmed Cards and crafts download.
Make sure you checkout the Design Teams & guest designer Kats, individual blogs to find all the details on how they made and what they used on there cards.
For my card I used the lovely Madison image from Holly and Madison Download from Charmed Cards,
I used my usual Whispers Brush markers to watercolour her, after printing on light pink card.
I used felt for the dots and for the flowers, which I attached using my Cropadile & the Greeting is by Hot off the Press, all available from Charmed Cards

New Pram!!!

On my trip to Farnborough Make it 5 I came across a fantastic stand called HassleCastle! It was amazing, the website is just being set up,but I've already ordered the enchanting fairytale castle and carriage!
This is their pram, this is my first attempt,it comes with full instructions and a plastic template, the accessories are separate and templates are card.
The hood raises up and down and there is a suncanopy, parasol and box to go with it too.

Welcome to my wonderful world of Crafting

Thankyou for looking at my blog pages.
